CARE INFORMATION

Light

  • Prefers bright, indirect light.

  • Avoid harsh afternoon sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering

  • Keep the soil slightly moist, but never soggy.

  • Water from the sides of the pot or from the bottom to avoid wetting the crown.

  • Reduce watering after flowering.

Temperature

  • Thrives in cool temperatures (10–20°C).

  • Avoid hot or dry areas like near windows, heaters, or direct sunlight.

Humidity

  • Prefers moderate humidity.

  • Do not mist directly on leaves or flowers.

Soil

  • Well-draining, loose potting mix is best.

  • Avoid heavy soil that retains too much moisture.

Fertilizer

  • Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer once every 2–3 weeks during active growth and flowering.

Blooming Season

  • Usually blooms in winter and early spring.

  • After blooms fade, the plant goes into a dormant period.

CARE DURING DORMANCY

  • Leaves will yellow and die back naturally.

  • Keep the soil almost dry and place the pot in a cool, dry place.

  • Resume watering slowly when new growth appears.

COMMON PROBLEMS

  • Yellow leaves: Overwatering or heat exposure.

  • Rot at the center: Watering directly on the crown.

  • No blooms: Not enough light or temperatures too warm.
